About us

AA 4*STAR  Monkton Court Hotel is easily found on the A30 close to Honiton and Exeter Airport.  This privately owned hotel is steeped in history as a former manor house and  vicarage to the Mary Magdalen Church with its beautiful stained glass windows designed by Burne-Jones and donated by Mrs Gard the owner of Monkton Court around 1860.

Our extensive refurbishment has now been completed and the  Monkton Court Hotel has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the restaurant and AA 4 *STAR  for the bedrooms.  


All the bedrooms at Monkton Court are very comfortable with en suite bathrooms and many have four poster beds.

 

We have now added to our repertoire two more family suites with seperate children's internal bedrooms leading from the parents room, so no more crowded family bedrooms with five beds in a room.

One of our rooms is also dog-friendly with a seperate bedroom just for your dog.

Our award winning restaurtant caters for the smaller diner, from either the bar or a la carte restaurant menu with child sized portions at £6.50 per person.
