Our AA rosette awarded restaurant at the 4* Star Monkton Court looks out over the Otter Valley, with countryside views across to  the Blackdown hills which provide a beautiful backdrop for your meal.  We are an ideal meeting place being ideally situated approximately halfway between London and Cornwall on the main A30 A303.

We have an interesting and  varied menu on offer every day and evening. 
The produce is sourced locally wherever possible from high quality suppliers.

Our chef is passionate about his food and combines flavour with flair to create a memorable occasion

We are coeliac friendly and will cater for all dietary requirements.  Families are welcome and will enjoy the large 4 acres of sunny gardens and orchards.

Restaurant facilities

The restaurant is spacious and sunny with comfortable chairs overlooking the valley and gardens.
When laid for a function we can cater for  approx. 60 guests for a sit down meal or 120 guests for a buffet. Please contact us with your requirements.
 





We also have a private dining/boardroom that can accommodate 14 guests seated around the table or up to 25 confrerence style in the comfort of their own room.
We do not charge for the use of this room

'I've travelled all over the world and am fussy about my food and accomodation! Stopped at Monkton Court by accident for one night, have now stayed there for three! Why? The food!!! Some of the best food I've had, consistantly! Any dish I've had is phenominal! 

The chef at Monkton is first class, presentation was as good as any top city restaurant I'd been to. I really was not expecting this quality of cuisine. 

Now the rooms! The new owners took it over a year ago apparently, refurbed the whole place, my room? Huge 4 poster oak bed, floor to ceiling marbled bathroom with old style claw foot bath tub, the most comfortable bed ever! I've paid three times the price for much less! As I said, I've never done one of these reviews before, but I'm telling everyone about this place! You can thank me later!'
